Prospect House completed the handover of the new building in Blackley, North Manchester, earlier this term and have been spending the last few weeks completing key tasks and setting systems ahead of the grand opening.
The team have reached a number of exciting milestones including:
- Developing new, and strengthening existing, community links with local residents, councillors and local police officers/neighbourhood officers
- Tours for our existing parents and carers, who have had the chance to see the outstanding facilities, as well as the classroom their child will be accessing
- Familiarisation transition visits with pupils who all explored their exciting new school and classrooms
- Endless sorting and packing by the incredible and dedicated staff team
- Completion of mural in the reception area, celebrating the diverse school community, as well as the first school in our multi-academy trust to open in North Manchester
- New staff joined the school community and MAT and continued recruitment drive to fill vacancies as the school grows
- Final day at temporary location on the site of Grange School
The school will now undertake the ‘big move’ with previously communicated closure days and half term holidays:
Wednesday 25th– Friday 27th May 2022: Staff packing classrooms / departments and removals
Monday 30th May 2022 – Friday 3rd June 2022: May Half Term Holiday
Tuesday 7th June 2022: Prospect House opens to pupils on the new site.
