MEA Central Awarded Inclusion Quality Mark

The Trust is delighted to announce that MEA Central has been awarded the prestigious Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) Inclusive School Award, recognising the school’s exceptional commitment to providing an inclusive, ambitious and supportive environment for every student.

Following a rigorous two‑day assessment, the IQM inspector praised MEA Central’s “overwhelming inclusive ethos,” strong relationships and consistently high expectations. The report highlighted the school’s belief in “no barriers, no excuses” and its determination to ensure all students thrive.

The award commends MEA Central’s outstanding pastoral and behaviour systems, high‑quality teaching, strong provision for SEND and vulnerable learners, excellent attendance, and highly positive engagement with families. The assessor also noted the school’s vibrant, diverse community and its culture of continuous improvement.

MEA Central has now been encouraged to apply for IQM Centre of Excellence status, reflecting the strength and ambition of its inclusive practice.
