We are delighted to see the work taking place at Prospect House Specialist Support School recognised as part of a recent Department for Education Climate Action Plan video, highlighting the school's ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
The feature shines a light on how sustainability can be embedded into everyday school life, demonstrating that meaningful climate action is not only about large-scale initiatives, but also about the small, consistent decisions that help create lasting change.
Across Prospere Learning Trust, we believe that we have a responsibility to help create a more sustainable future for the young people and communities we serve. From the way we manage our estates and resources to the opportunities we provide for pupils to engage with environmental issues, sustainability is increasingly becoming part of how we think, plan and operate.
Sustainability is not a standalone initiative at Prospere; it is part of our commitment to doing the right thing for our pupils, staff and communities. By working together across our family of schools, being proactive in our approach and continually reflecting on how we can improve, we are building sustainable practices into the way we learn, work and grow. These actions reflect the values and behaviours that sit at the heart of our Trust every day
The work showcased by Prospect House is a fantastic example of these values in action. It demonstrates how schools can lead by example, inspiring pupils, staff and the wider community to play their part in addressing climate change while creating positive learning environments.
As a Trust, we are proud of the efforts being made across our family of schools to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable practices. We look forward to continuing this journey together and building on the excellent work already taking place.
