Consultation to change the school capacity at Grange School to reflect the number of pupils currently on roll
What are we planning to do?
Increase the capacity of the school from 295 to 345. This would more accurately reflect the number of pupils on roll. This would be 325 pupils on the main Grange School site and 20 pupils at a satellite site we are aiming to develop.
Why do we want to make this change?
As an oversubscribed school we are consistently asked to provide additional spaces. Over recent years the number of pupils on roll has increased. We now wish to ensure that the stated capacity of the school matches more accurately the number of pupils on roll. We have worked with the LA to secure appropriate funding for building and site improvements for additional pupils in recent years to ensure we have the necessary infrastructure to support the increased number of pupils. Our increase on the main site to 325 pupils has been supported by capital funding from the LA.
